Intent in private liability insurance?

If a child is 12 years old and intentionally damages something, will their private liability insurance cover it?

If it was intentional it would not be with adults but what about children

If intentional acts are not explicitly covered*: No. Intentional acts are generally excluded.

*My private liability insurance also covers (until 2023) intentional damage caused by children (and I don't even have any^^) – but only up to the age of 10 and up to a maximum coverage amount of €1,000.

Which insurer offers this? Which tariff?

LVM. But they changed their rates a while ago. I just looked through it and couldn't find that section anymore – it's possible they've removed it. With the low coverage amount, the content was pretty superfluous – and it was never relevant to me anyway.

It was still included in the old "Private Liability Plus" module:

Intentional damage caused by children (up to the age of 10) – insured amount €1,000

Under insurance law, according to Section 81 (1) of the German Insurance Contract Act (VVG), the intentional causing of an insured event releases the insurance company from liability. The allegation of intentional conduct is not limited to the loss itself, but also to the resulting consequences.
There is nothing there about an exception for children!

The insurance company must prove the intent, which is almost impossible with a 12-year-old

Intent is not covered by any insurance!
