Integrate hard drive into Proxmox VE?
Good day,
I subsequently installed a 2TB HDD in my Proxmox server. At first I only had a 128GB SSD for testing, but now I've expanded this to include a 2TB HDD (for data) because I want to host my own cloud.
As you can see in the images below, the HDD is recognized, and I can also create LVMs, etc. If I want to create a VM, I can select the hard drive. If I want to create a Linux container, I can only select "Local," which is the SSD. There would still be 58GB of free space on it, which obviously isn't worth using for a cloud storage. How can I mount the new hard drive so that I can install the cloud service in the container?
I hope someone can help me, thank you
In der Proxmox VE GUI:
/Host/Disks/Directory: Create Directory
Damit wird die Festplatte formatiert und eingehängt.
Thanks! It worked!
Probier mal einen Ordner mit diesen einstellungen hinzuzufügen. Bei directory muss dein mount point und ein ordnername hin
This is funny, but now the HDD only has 48GB free, just like the SSD. What did I do wrong? And what exactly should be in the directory? What is recommended for a new disk? Unfortunately, I really don't know much about this.
