Insult? Should I expect trouble?

Today we talked about obesity at school. And I said that person xy is overweight, which is true. Shortly afterward, I said that it could be due to genes or illness. Everyone laughed and makes fun of it by constantly asking, "Is xy overweight?"

Can I go to the principal for this? I don't want to get into trouble. Xy wasn't here today either. The teacher noticed but didn't say anything else to me about it. Because I actually told the truth because they thought I was overweight. But according to my BMI, I'm not.

How should I behave now? Will I get into trouble or do I have nothing to fear?

It was a bad example and as such it was probably unnecessary. The topic can also be discussed without calling Person xy. And, of course, if you’ve really done this out of malice, then it can fall under bullying and then the school can talk to you about it.

Your reason why you did this doesn’t reveal to me. That xy overweight does not exclude that you are also overweight…

How did you behave… talk to the teacher about it, excuse yourself, possibly get in front of the others for xy.

I hope you learned from it at least. Your behavior was clearly not okay.

An apology would be appropriate, because this is not possible.

It’s not about telling the truth. You said it before the whole class and that’s bullying.

Normally, you should get an appointment with the school psychologist.

Why would you? You said the pure war. (If it should be right)

No, of course, you don’t get any trouble, but it was a bit unfavorable to use person XY as an example of your note. Because his fellow students will surely tell him brewing warmth and then is caffeine or radio silence.

“You are overweight” is not an insult. On the other hand, “the fat sow” is an insult.
