Just read… Your hard disk is formatted according to the FAT32 file system. This format is always used by consoles as far as I know. Steam cannot install any games on it. This is only possible on NTFS formatted hard drives. To change formatting, go to Windows Explorer and right click on the FAT32 hard drive, which means where you want to install your games.

Then choose formatting. ATTENTION I think it’s eig, but I’d rather say it again. When formatting your hard drive, ALL your files saved on it are lost and deleted. So save everything necessary on another hard drive or USB stick beforehand.

In the new window, you then select the highest storage capacity from which it is possible, the file system “NTFS” and the standard size of assignment units. With “volume denomination” you can give your hard disk a specific name. Like with me, ext. Hard drive because my ext.ern hard drive is or something like “games”.

Now just press on start. The hard drive is then formatted and your problem should be fixed. And don’t forget: Save important files on this hard drive beforehand on another hard drive or USB stick.
