Install EXE drivers on Mac?

Good day,

I recently bought a laser, and in order to operate it, I need to install a driver. This driver is an EXE file that I can't open on my Mac (M3). I downloaded the Crossover app, inserted the EXE file, and ran everything, but I can't seem to figure out how to install the driver on the Mac.

Can someone help me with this? Is this EXE file the driver itself, or is the driver contained within the file? As you can see, I'm not the brightest when it comes to things like this ๐Ÿ™‚

this is an exe file I do not open with my Mac (M3)

Of course not! This is a program for Windows that brings you exactly zero under macOS.

You need to find a driver or tool for macOS on the website of the printer.

If this is not, install the printer via the system settings. Then macOS should already have a suitable driver.

This driver is an exe file

An executable file is not a driver. This Exe only installs the Windows drivers with which you will be able to start little on a MAC, because the drivers are not designed for MAC-OS and the operating system cannot therefore correctly address the devices.
This software package will only use you if you run Windows (via BootCamp) on the MAC.

I recently bought a laser

and since neither manufacturer nor model is known, you will be allowed to see if you get appropriate drivers for your device from the device manufacturer.

The exe file installs the driver. However, this is not compatible with a Mac that will not work with VMs either

No chance. Also not with Crossover.

The exe will be an installation file for the drivers. However, these only work on Windows.

you do not need because a Windows driver is not loaded on a Mac. See if the manufacturer offers a driver or software for Mac Os.
