Instagram modeling, parents don't allow it, what now?
Hi, I'd like to become a model one day (as a hobby or as a career, I still have to figure that out) and would like to start uploading photos to Instagram. Apparently, they say you have better chances in the modeling industry if you have a lot of followers. There are no castings for photo shoots or good agencies near me. Instagram is (currently) my only chance to build something.
But my parents won't allow it. They don't like it because it means I'm presenting myself.
Do you have any ideas how I can change her mind? I don't want to run an account behind her back either.

A pragmatic solution would be a ‘managed’ account. Your parents must approve every image you upload accordingly. And also have access rights to your account. Only through full transparency can you build trust with your parents. However, if you’re 18, it’s all done and all social media portals are open to you.
With Instagram and the like, you can build a reputation as a social media player. This is also usually the way the careers have started on Instagram.
You should leave that.
Contact agencies, look at their websites, especially the areas in which they inform you about their contracts, shoots, obligations of both sides and admission terms and apply there.
If you are interested, please make an appointment with your parents so that you can come to a sample shoot or the job interview or they can take you.
All the other things, please, get out of your head.
Also true….
A young person is called “heure”, wow.
