Inline skating embarrassing and lacking self-confidence?
Hello,
My question is, as already described in the title, whether inline skating is embarrassing these days.
Personally, I (age 18) am the kind of person who looks for a quiet spot at 2 am and skates there for a bit. I know it's weird, but I don't have the self-confidence to let other people see me skating (with all the pads and helmet on, of course). Even when I was 13, I actually wanted to wear a bike helmet while riding my bike, but I was kind of embarrassed. My question is, how can I gain more self-confidence, for example, for the things described above? And am I the only one?
Hey, I know what you mean when it's "painous". But skate isn't embarrassing at all or so on the contrary: it's something cool that's fun for you and that's why you shouldn't stop just because you get nervous or sp:) Imagine you're seeing someone skate. You would never think: “Oh the skates like embarrassing!” And so thinks as good as no one, and actually you're making too many thoughts about it just do what you've got and I can assure you that it's not embarrassing and because of your shooters and so: it's even good that you're wearing them because you avoid worse injuries and you look like a very normal skater.
Hope I helped you out and you can now walk in peace with your hobby :3

Whether bicycle or e-scooters, a helmet is mandatory for me. Got extra two in different colors, matching my warning vests (pink and orange)
just do – you don't have to set a speed record… but you don't have to hide or the like.
I don't see a reason why the "embarrassing" or one why it should be a matter of self-confidence.
Do your thing; what do other people care? They're not interested in you, believe me!
I'm aware that the others aren't interested in me, but if I'm going to skate on the day I'm going to get back because I'm so nervous and someone knows me. No one knows I skate, but I think I'll tell my best friend somewhere you have to start
