Indicator flashing too fast on scooter?
Hello, I have a Piaggio TPH 50 built in 1998 with low mileage.
First of all, it's been serviced recently; the main jet was adjusted to fit a new exhaust, as was the gear ratio. The rims were converted from 10 inches to 13 inches. Otherwise, it's in original condition.
At the last inspection the spark plug was replaced (B9HS) to (BR9HS)
Now for the problem with the non-standard BR9HS: the scooter doesn't run properly and only goes 50 km/h with a complete loss of power. The indicators work perfectly.
On the B9HS it runs like a rocket, but the indicators flash way too fast, otherwise no complaints.
I am of the opinion that B9ES spark plugs should be used there, problem: the dealer says that is not correct and I will lose my warranty.
What should I do?
Voltage regulator is ok
Alternator also
I’m sure there’s no problem. That’s what happened in the car. So the flash clock is twice as fast
Don’t do anything that threatens your guarantee! Talk to the dealer about a new flash relay. That could be broken….
B9ES spark plug is definitely the right candle. but with the blinker did not mean. This should be broken.
First of all, R means that the candle is sparkly disturbed. Perhaps there is a problem with too high resistance because it is also the candle plug.
A B9H candle has a thread length of only 12.7 mm, an E 19mm, which is a big difference. The spark spreads quite differently.
According to Louis, the B9ES is the right spark plug for your year of construction.
