Norma, Edeka. But Sushi wouldn’t call it

If you want good sushi, don’t go to the supermarket. Let the amateur stuff lie with the Chinabuffet. Also, “Asia”-imbisse, which from Thai curry to Udon noodles mean everything you can forget with their grossly sluggish maki.

Go to the Japanese and pay more. And make sure that there is no Vietnamese behind the Japanese restaurant name. This is as if a Southeast Transylvanian walking chef would sell his version of königsberger Klopse somewhere in Japan as an original German delicacies, which should be authentic because he is European.

If there is a supermarket, then at these integrated stands such as Eat Happy. There is reasonable quality, though not quite cheap. And these stands are only seen in larger markets. This mini sushi for 2.99 in the small markets I don’t want to eat as sushi. In a test about two years ago on TV, a sushi cook has still rated the best of Rewe, then Lidl. Just garbage.

It is best to order in a good restaurant. Or – that’s what I’m doing now – to prepare myself. It is expensive, but for me pleasure also in preparation, and relatively inexpensive. The most important and not simple is rice. The rest is freshness, skill and creativity.

In all I think, but from supermarkets he doesn’t taste so good. I’d rather go straight to an Asian restaurant.
