In the middle of the night, the traffic light is red. Do you stop?

Hasn't it happened to you? You're driving down a street in the middle of the night, the light is red, and you want to turn left. There's not a car or anything else in sight. Do you drive through the red light or wait until it turns green ?

Whether you want to turn left plays what role when the traffic light is red?

You may be able to judge that it is meaningless to stay. But also you make mistakes. And with the traffic rules, you have to remember that they have been designed so that even the dumbest gets clear. These may be meaningless rules for the riders apply to all. Who should be able to decide who should stick to it because he is too stupid to look at himself and who not?

I'm staying on a red light, even if it doesn't make any sense for me since I've seen that nothing behind me is a police car after I've gone through red.

I agree with you that, depending on the time of day, there are rules that seem insane, such as a red light on a clear crossroads where one is the only one.

At night between 11:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m., most traffic lights are absolutely unnecessary and could be set to "yellow flashing"

This has been done a few years ago at many traffic lights. After the number of accidents has increased, one has returned.

On non-ample-controlled roads, it is also expected that the riders will come out with the rules. Or are the stupidest not allowed to drive these streets?

Accidents happen. If no one would drive, there would be none.

One cannot distinguish between smart and stupid drivers in terms of traffic rules, because the stupid driver would never admit that for him the then changed rules of smart drivers are not to be applied.

There might be something else on foot. But not by car.

Short story: at night 3.00 am, Dortmund's only roundabout with stop signs, no person, no car, no cat on the streets, I drive without stopping in the roundabout. Blue light trowel. Policeman says, "You've got a stop sign over" question from me, "Is it badly hurt?" Both policemen found this question funny to me. I still have to pay €40.

So much for "lasting night in front of a red light when everything is free, you don't always have the luck like me, normally it costs 3 digits and a point there is still.

It costs at least €60 fine if the camera is active.

As a pedestrian I may go, by car I respect Amplen 100%

This question should not be asked. Finally, there are traffic rules. What else are they for?

I find the argument somewhat weak.

Traffic rules, that is already in the word, serve to regulate traffic. Is the question whether there is any traffic at night when you are completely alone at the intersection, and what needs to be regulated.

Who knows how many do that? As long as they do this when they are completely alone, it will never be noticed! And it wouldn't change anything at all, even if everyone did.

I'm sorry, I've never been driving at red, no matter what time…

I even push the traffic lights as pedestrians when there is no traffic. It's been so impressed.

I do not say that in the morning at 2 or 3 o'clock, if there is no vehicle in sight. Rather, the pure habit. I'm standing by the traffic lights on the button. If there's really nothing wheels I'll flash over. But only as a pedestrian. I'll stay in the car with red.

At least I've made traffic lights at a construction site. The construction site went 2m for that I certainly don't stop when no car comes and no one can see.

By car I always wait for speech , no matter what circumstances. Imagine there's a camera somewhere, it's gonna be quite expensive.

But on foot, I'd just walk over.

I've seen that the cops behind a building or bush (in the car) wait for just a moment to drive around in red…!

I have done it myself, but by day at a construction site πŸ™‚

…and annoy me…

Red light violations are not without – and where there are traffic lights, there can still be a stature from somewhere…

I'm sure there's such idiots, ignorants and potential cross-thinkers who do that. I won't.
