Mention people by name in a biography?
Hello,
I'm considering writing a biography and publishing it as a book. There were also some less pleasant incidents. How do you phrase something like that? If you write, for example, "Detlef W. from M. did this and that: is that legitimate?" On the one hand, I want to avoid the problems it could cause. I'm not keen on lawsuits. On the other hand, I don't see why you should keep quiet about nasty things that were done to you.
I look forward to any suggestions
Okay, I thought so.
Bite. There were quite nasty incidents with me. Where I have problems with processing. (Currently, you can make no more. )
And so I thought that this way justice could be done. So, for example, only with the first name. I would not write anything wrong, but everything completely correct, and therefore hoped that this would be possible.
Why do you even have to call names? “An old school friend” or the like is enough.
You can describe all events without using real names.
You change the name + make it one or vice versa.
I would change the names and also indicate in the book that it is based on true events but the names were changed.
