In den Grunewald (Gedichtinterpretation)?

Hallo.

Here my interpretation of the poem:

The poem “In den Grunewald” by Ernst Stadler describes a scene in the Berlin district Grunewald. It begins in the early morning when Berlin spits out its extracts to Grunewald. People come from all parts of the city – from Halensee, Spandau, Schmargendorf and the Pichelsberg – and take their way to Grunewald, accompanied by drumming gymnastics and Kremsern with music. The people and life on the streets are described by various sounds – a squeaking box and outrageous, and one hears the reputations of street dealers and the sound of music.

At night, the scene is described how a burning cigar and a pingst dress disappear behind the train dam between dark cuddles. Luna smiles while people look under the moonlight, for the blue flower that is hidden between thrown-away filly paper and egg shells.

The interpretation of the poem “In den Grunewald” could indicate that it is a snapshot of life in Berlin and that life in the city consists of a combination of sounds, people and short events. It can also be an appeal to the search for the beautiful and untouched moments in life, which are sometimes hidden between everyday waste and the hustle of life.

I hope I could help you, and you understand the poem better now.
