Get hedgehogs out of basement slope?

Good morning,

Last night, I was woken up by a loud scratching at my basement window. When I looked, I saw the confused eyes of a large hedgehog (definitely fully grown and healthy, meaning apple-shaped and with a straight gait). It must have fallen down the slope in my basement, and it can't get out on its own. Can anyone give me tips on picking up a hedgehog, specifically what I should pay attention to to make it as comfortable as possible?

Hello, Trox.

best tight to wear work gloves and
Then put him on a hedge or bush.

If you don’t have a thick plaster
or use other cloth, only for you and
the spikes.
The hedgehog already carries it even if it is easy
will fight.
So stay a good savior and all the good
opi venerable

Velcro is bullshit, in front of everyone at the ‘Bauchbereich’!

Take the thickest gloves, which you find (to the need also two on top of each other) and cover the hedgehog carefully with both hands. Then you can lift it and put it off.

Of course you can also try it with a box (e.g. an animal transport box) and then depend on its will that it sticks in there.

Is it how you can reach him?

Or “just” to touch him kindly?

= Pull on (leather) gloves and take it up with both hands placed around it – as if you were to wash water on your face…

…even if he’s snucking and rolling in…

Hello,

put a cardboard or a sweeper below it and put it in a bush that may not be right next to the stairs! So easy it goes and you have done a good work ðŸ ̃‰

Best to contact the animal welfare association and not touch the hedgehog.
