Ideas for an environmental campaign with an information stand?
Hello, we are from the Youth Parliament.
We are planning to set up a small but interesting information stand in our city on Environment Day soon to interest young people in the environment.
We are looking for important topics/problems that also affect young people and perhaps for simple activities to raise awareness of them.
Since this is all a bit short notice and we are currently under a lot of stress, we welcome any ideas.

Very current, big topic: plastic and microplastics in the world seas!
As a great action for young people, I would provide cosmetic products without microplastics for testing. So, a body lotion, a face cream, a peeling, a shower bath, a shampoo and so on (on cloths and possibly also water thinking for wiping and washing!).
Perhaps you can win a drugstore as a sponsor for the products? Or directly a manufacturer of such cosmetic products, who may also donate packages to give away?
I believe that this is simply a very topical and very important issue, which also clearly takes place in the life of young people about the path of cosmetics. And with such a “test stand” one gives them a very concrete possibility to implement the “learned” in the future in everyday life.
I’m for (micro) plastic, because a huge garbage island has been found in the ocean and I think this is a very important topic, as plastic can easily be avoided!
My suggestions on this subject would be:
– List the consequences and disadvantages of plastic
– explain how it can be avoided (Bamboo toothbrushes, instead of taking plastic bag every time, go round with basket, etc.)
– List of signatures who is against plastic
-Experiment: Two days without plastic
-etc……
