I speak my mind. Does that make me bitchy?

Hey, every now and then a friend texts me to ask if I have time to come over later. I reply, and I never hear back. This has happened so often that today I wrote asking him to please only text me when he's really sure he has time and has planned it. I have a life of my own and don't wait around for him all day. I wrote to him really politely. Here's the message: Hey, please do me a favor; after all, you're a grown man who can make informed decisions. Only text me when you REALLY want to meet up. Then I usually don't get a reply from you when I text. I think that's stupid and pretty unreliable🤷🏻‍♀️Thanks! ☺️

He then told me not to be so bitchy, that I should have just texted him again (remind him, so to speak), but I'm getting fed up with it. Is it possible that he's also manipulating me to make me feel bad?
