I'm taking medication for vitamin B12 deficiency and I get tired quickly now. Is this due to the medication?

My family doctor did a blood test (due to severe hair loss and losing weight). Among other things (thyroid at the upper limit, slight calcium deficiency, anything else?) she discovered that I have a vitamin B12 deficiency (I need pantoprazole because of reflux and it could be the cause!). I was given Mensana ( B12 lingua (90 lozenges) | MensSana Shop ) and suck on one every day. I've only been taking it for about two weeks. But for the last few days I've been getting tired really quickly! I fell asleep during my lunch break earlier, normally I turn out the light around 2:00 a.m. and fell asleep sometime after 12:15 a.m. and woke up at about 9:30 a.m. I never do any of these things! It's happened to me a few times.

Normally the lack of it makes you tired, but it wasn't like that before!

I know no GF can predict the future, but I just thought about the long text after the question, sorry!

Thank you, I wish all GFs a nice, healthy weekend and lots of fun on our wonderful platform! 🐛🐑

Your “thyroidism in the upper area” can be far above the upper area for you. that can tell you an endocrinologist. in the blood image as you had, the total TSH is determined, but not T3 and T4. If the values are severely shifted, the blatant can have effect. for thyroid also speaks the inexplicable weight loss.

he can also test other things that affect your metabolism. where no one can say what it started because you’ve actually been dragging around with you all your life.

that with the thyroid gland is extremely important to be clarified, as this can also cause a weakened heart.

and you can finally get in touch before your esophagus is digesting itself.

the hair loss and the decrease indicate an overfunction of the thyroid gland.

in your blood picture only the total TSH was captured, but not broken up. the TSH consists of T3 and T4

if the total TSH is at the limit, one can do another by an endocrinoologist.

you have already written the rest several times.

I have tried to explain to you that you have to find and fix the URSACHE.

and I think, as I wrote before, that you’ve changed a lot.

B12 needs a while until the memory fills. Was it also excluded that you have vitamin D3, iron or magnesium deficiency? Do you think TSH is high with thyroid in the upper part, which then indicates a thyroid underfunction? It’s too tired. And is also caused by vitamin D deficiency, protein, iodine and selenium deficiency. Was it all tested in sober blood? Jod would also have to be determined in spontaneous urine.

I’d take magnesium anyway. It’s not all. Best as MgCitrate or bisglycinate, corresponding to 400 mg or more pure magnesium. Hazard and fatigue can also occur in thyroid underfunction. TSH, the control hormone of thyroid hormones fT3 and fT4, increases in the absence of free hotmones. Vitamin D has many effects if you have a lack. And you have, except you eat regular fish livers. Zinc can also play a role. Just like iron (ferrite in blood) and copper. Women are often affected by menstruation.
