There are spray adhesives that are called “releasable”*. This could make it work to stick the paper on the wood to be able to detach it later. The “adhesive force” is probably similar to that of Post-It notes. Try this with some uninteresting paper pieces, whether you can spray it directly, or better spray a layer of paper as a “adhesive agent”.

I don’t know how to go if that’s glued. Wouldn’t it be better with freshening foil? You can take it off again.
