I urgently need help (health)?

Hello, I was quite embarrassed to ask this question to someone and I have hardly any experience with it, so I decided to ask here first, maybe someone knows something about it

I am 17 years old and currently have my period. I have very bad cramps and today I could only lie around in pain. I am also suffering from bowel movements, but then I made a very horrible discovery on the toilet that I have threadworms (according to what I saw on the internet).
However, according to the internet, it is very rare for people over 11 years of age to suffer from it/become infected.

I have no idea what to do now, and I'm embarrassed to tell my parents about this.

I don't have any symptoms and I'm sure that the bowel movements are because of my period. I'm not someone who puts their nails in their mouth and I wash my hands every day because I'm a hygiene freak. But now that I have my period I don't know how to treat it with home remedies.
Is it necessary to see a doctor???

I really need help

I think it’s windworms. You can get it from unwashed fruit and vegetables (only as an example).

It’s not a big thing. Go to the pediatrician who gives you chewing tablets ( usually taste for lemon). And in three days everything’s over.

Spulworms can be obtained at any age

Oh, they’re contagious. So you should tell your parents about it, because the toilet has to be disinfected.

Without a doctor, they don’t go away again

No, it’s not. They will multiply. Nowadays this is really not a big thing. I had them two times in my youth. The chewing tablets are harmless and do not taste bad. And in no time, all the problems are gone.

You need to clean the toilet after every walk

Instead of writing here, I’d go to the hospital right now. But quick.

But not because of some worms in the stool. This is absolutely no emergency.

No, of course, we need a treatment with anthelmintics. This is not an emergency.
