I am slightly ill and will have surgery in a few days?

Hello,

I've been sick for the last three days, and since yesterday I've actually been feeling pretty good again. I don't have a fever, and the only problem is that my throat is still festering. I really only have slight pain when swallowing.
I will have surgery under general anesthesia in 3 days.
It is a minor procedure and is expected to take only half an hour.
Is my neck a problem? Will the surgery be canceled because of this? I mean, I don't know if it will be completely gone in three days.
