You can easily uninstall it, maybe you need administrator privileges: https://support.avira.com/hc/de/articles/360003162153 Uninstalling from Avira-f%C3%BCr Windows
You will not delete any folders, but you will delete DEINSTALLIERT’s software via the control system.
To do this, you may need to end the ongoing background processes of Avira via the task manager.
In addition, Avira has help with problems and special uninstallation programs.
You give the permissions by using the responsible applications with administrator rights start. You don’t have these rights automatically, just because the computer is yours.
I know Avira as the only antivirus program that you can’t delete completely. If you delete it normally, there are basic entries that Avira still displays as an active antivirus program. Here you can only enter the rest using the “regedit” command when running and start a search run. You must be patient, because you will not trust your own eyes when you see how intense Avira has eaten in your system. Whenever a line to be deleted is displayed, you must delete it. But be careful not to cover you up. Entries in the lower to middle double-digit range could be related to the number of entries. Some entries are still indelible. However, my experience is no longer relevant. After about half an hour, your PC is cleaned again. And if not, you should enter the term Avira with “This PC” in Windows Explorer. There are also Avira entries, but they only come to the end. Please stop patience until the process is completed. Breaking off just before the gate is a fatal mistake. Once you have deleted the remains, everything is back in the green area. All other antivirus programs incl. the other free one can be easily deleted. The Revo Uninstaller is also helpful. I wish you good luck, success and send you my best regards.
Avira installs very deeply in the system. The easiest way is to remove the installation file and uninstall it or uninstall the software via the settings from the PC. The list of programs can be found under “Programs and Features”. There is a button to uninstall.
If you have a pre-version of Avira, you will find several Avira products listed. Uninstall all Avira products listed in succession, but make sure you uninstall the entry with Avira as the last.
Now that I get out of Windows: don’t delete the Avira folder while the program is still installed. Uninstall it
