I want to buy a graphics card, which one?
Hi, I want to buy a graphics card, but I don't have a pin connector. Which one would be suitable? The 1070ti actually looks good, but does it need an 8-pin connector? I absolutely need one. I don't have one, and everything runs on the CPU, which is incredibly slow.
All more powerful graphics cards require a 6+2 PIN power connector, some only 6 PINs, others all 8 PINs and possibly even more of them, depending on how much power the graphics card needs.
The GTX 1070 always requires a power connection.
From the GTX 10xx series, only the GT 1030, GTX 1050 and some (but not all) GTX 1050Ti cards require a maximum of 75W of power and therefore do not require an additional power connection.
If you don't have a graphics card power connector on your power supply, you can assume that more powerful graphics cards would likely overload your power supply. To use more powerful graphics cards, you'll also need a new power supply. (If it's a complete PC, however, your motherboard may not have the standard ATX-compliant connectors, so check beforehand if necessary.)

The graphics card cannot be powerful enough for today's games.
And make sure you get a reasonably powerful processor, as this is primarily responsible for FPS. It should be at least an i7 8700K or R7 2700X.
Die CPU die verbaut ist ist ein Intel Core i7 8700k
Hello,
because no feedback is given.
The answer must be general.
So only 75Watt graphics cards are possible.
And that’s what IGOR does best:

Hello,
You can forget about the power supply. There aren't any good options for you. So buy a new, decent power supply and be done with it. Then something along the lines of the RX 6600XT/6650XT is a good choice.
LG
Any graphics card with slightly more power than the onboard graphics card requires at least one additional power connector, as does the 1070 ti. If your power supply doesn't have one, you'll need to buy a new one.
Are you sure your power supply is no longer connected to a power connector? There are also modular power supplies that allow you to plug in additional cables. Of course, the power supply must also have sufficient total power.
What else is installed in the computer? This helps you estimate whether and what kind of graphics card is worth it.
Na wenn da die 1070 ti drin steckt, gehe ich davon aus dass da mindestens der i7 4790K/6700K oder Ryzen 5 2600 drin werkelt. Alles bis RTX 3070 oder RX 6800XT geht da fit.
As far as I understand, there's no graphics card in there. He wrote that everything runs through the CPU and just asked whether a 1070 ti needs an 8-pin connector.
There are also graphics cards like the 1050 e.g. or the 6500 xt or rx570 that get 75w via the pcie slot and get by with it
But they are hardly faster than the current integrated graphics chips.
ein paar specs die helfen:
CPU: Intel core i7 8700k
Mainboard: LENOVO 312A (U3E1)
Netzteil: 180 Watt
With the power supply, you won't be able to run a graphics card at all. In the pictures I've seen, there's also very little space between the PCIe and RAM slots. You'll have to measure how much space there is beforehand.
If it fits, it should work, and the GTX 1650 is, of course, considerably faster than the integrated iGPU. The fastest graphics card for gaming without an external power connection would be the RTX 3050 6GB. You'll just have to check the dimensions to see if it fits. IMPORTANT: ONLY THE 6GB VERSION DOESN'T REQUIRE A POWER CONNECTION.
I read that anything up to 75 watts would be possible. I have found one that would fit the 1650 Dual?
1. Meant 6400
2. Gtx 1650 is better and doesn't need one.
3. Ryzen 8000 iGPU is better than both
But a GTX 1050 delivers between 5-10 fps more, and an RX 6500 XT requires a power connection. Check it out.

No, that's not true
Now please tell me what's inside the computer; I'm really confused
What kind of hardware did you install?
I would rather buy a new graphics card and a more powerful one, namely the RX 6600 if you want a GPU in that range, it is a lot faster, especially in newer games
Rule of thumb for graphics cards: at least 100% faster (i.e., at least twice as fast as the old one). The RX 6600 is in a race against the almost 8-year-old GTX 1080. Upgrade for the TE? 20%? 30%? OK, maybe 35%? If you ignore the AMD drivers…
Um, the point is that it doesn't have a GPU, so what are you getting at? Upgrading from an APU to an RX 6600 is a perfectly normal, solid decision.
