I have a few questions about a SIM card?
Hello,
- If I change the SIM card, same number but a new SIM card, will all data, if any, be deleted? The data from the old SIM card is no longer on the new one, right?
- If there is data on the SIM card, it is not stored under my name by the provider, is it?
Thank you! Have a nice day 🙂
In the past, all data were stored on the SIM card. Today no data is stored there. In any case, the contact could be concerned. Normally, however, you can see in the contact app which contacts are stored where (and how the default is).
But essentially, this is not a problem, because you can just make the new SIM in, see if what is missing and if necessary, change the old SIM again and then secure the missing data.
On the SIM card you can save names and phone numbers. That's all.
Generally, this is done in the phone itself. You could create a backup with Google or Apple. After switching on and setting up the new phone almost everything is back.
There is usually no data on a SIM card. In any case, you could store a few contacts on what nobody does today.
The data on the device has nothing to do with the SIM. 20-30 years ago, SMS and contact data were stored on the SIM card, today it is almost only responsible for unlocking the network
Only your saved names and numbers are on the Simcard.
