I forget to have spoken to a person?

Ever since I was little, I've occasionally forgotten that I've spoken to someone about a certain topic. For example: my mother explains to me that we're going to visit friends later. Later: never heard of it. Or: my friends and I are sitting in the kitchen talking about picking someone up from the train station. I suggest we go to the supermarket first, as one of my friends was actually planning to do that. Everyone looks at me strangely and tells me that I've already said that, WHICH I DON'T REMEMBER. (That was only two months ago or so).
I also always forget everything. My clothes in the bathroom, my bag in the kitchen, even my cell phone at school. Sometimes I can't even remember the names of people I've known for a year. Give me two minutes, and it's all gone.

The problem is that my memory is actually pretty good. I never study for tests or assignments because I was able to memorize everything from class, and I can remember a LOT of my dreams, even those from when I was four. I don't forget any of them; I still have most of them in my head.

It just feels like I was gone during those moments. I can remember everything except those fragments. But then they're completely gone. Another thing I should mention is that I dream quite often. My family always yells at me because I'm always daydreaming when I have nothing to do. But could that really be the reason I forget entire conversations when I usually remember everything so well?

What could be the reason for this?

I would like to seriously suggest that with this problem first a home doctor and then later a specialist (according to the recommendation and referral of the family doctor).

According to your description, your long-term memory works very well – but not your short-term memory.

It would first be to determine whether this is a mental problem – or a physical one. But I don’t think it’s psychological. Because then you would have to have this mental disorder from small to small.

It sounds much more like a neurological problem – and that must be a neurologist looking at, investigating and evaluating.

Don’t be afraid and be afraid. You want to find out what this is and what it is about you.

Well, that’s the talk of mothers. so many of us used to be here and there.

Let’s say that if the doctor finds no causes or diseases, you can still work on “day dreams”;-)
