I don't feel right there/ what's wrong with me?

Hello,

I'll try to describe what's going on with me as precisely as possible… maybe someone knows…

So:

It started about two years ago, gradually, and I felt unreal… I don't know what triggered it. I used to be very sensitive and was very good at empathizing with other people. But somehow that's gone; I no longer feel any emotions… I know it sounds really strange, but I just don't feel anything anymore and can no longer empathize with others… Even as I write this right now, I'm somehow not really thinking about it and am acting like I'm on remote control… It scares me so much, and I would do anything to just have emotions again and feel real…

My thoughts also feel so far away from me somehow.

I don't have any friends either because I lack the most important qualities… I simply don't have an opinion on anything and I don't know who I am.

I also worry a lot about illnesses and am afraid that it's something serious… but even this fear feels so far away from me. I can't even really feel it.

I feel pretty alone with this as I haven't read anything about it yet, so I wanted to ask if anyone else has the same problem or has any idea what it could be…

The ineffectiveness is called derealization and/or depersonalization. You can also read the article on Wikipedia.

what it may be different, it may be due to the psyche, for example due to severe stress, but may also have neurological causes. So let the doctor examine and if there is a psyche, there are also appropriate possibilities.

I have the same problem- the whole thing is called DPDR, for example. It helps therapy – I am also looking for a therapy site. This occurs as a defense mechanism and you split off from something experienced. You don’t need to be afraid. It may take a while, but with the help, the problem is good to eliminate. Good luck and stay brave!
