I don't know exactly what to do about my job?
I have been trained since the beginning of June and I work shifts. I can never take more than two days of holiday or time off because otherwise someone else who is free has to work for me. The shift work is okay except for the fact that I rarely get to go out with friends. Whenever they have something cool planned or there is a cool event, I have to work. I am young and don't want to spend my "youth" working all the time, I want to experience something. The money for the shift work is all well and good and I really enjoy the work and can't complain, but if I were to quit, I don't know what other job I would do. I'd hate to do another apprenticeship, but if I had to, I would do another. What do you think or what would you do in my situation?
If you want to maintain the profession:
Then you could try to find young people in the same situation. Then you could use the free time you only have at another time and spend time with friends.
If you want to change the profession:
It’s okay. It would be good to find something that interests you just as much as your current job. It wouldn’t be bad in your career either. You have successfully completed the training and find the job well, only your social life comes a little too short. A reorientation would be nothing bad from my point of view.
What should you do best?
I’m sorry, it depends entirely on you. Maybe the money is enough or you can find other friends with whom you can spend the other time, or your other friends and your youth are too important to you. Either way, you will not have great challenges in the labour market. Cross-income are now normal and there is a lack of labour as well as everywhere. I would, if I were to consider another job or a new training, seek out a training in peace, so that everything would pass safely and no existence crisis would arise.
