I chose Passport instead of EEA National ID Card with Ryanair! That’s right!

Hello,
i checked in with Ryanair today and chose Passport at check-in and gave my ID card details because I think that’s the ID card and I didn’t know what EEA National ID Card is.
Is that bad now?

No is not bad, because the EEA National ID card is, for example, the German ID card. This designation EEA for European Economic Area is used, for example, because Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein are not members of the EU in the near future, but nevertheless practice the Schengen Agreement on simplification in Europe. The EEA includes 30 Member States, all 27 EU members and the 3 above.

The identity card is of course international.

Shit, this has happened to me. Fly from Memmingen to Scotland on Monday. I just tried the hotline, but it’s not over the weekend. I am afraid that it is not so unproblematic everywhere and that Ryanair is a very nice source of income.
As I first fly with Ryanair the following question: is the boarding pass compared with the ID only immediately before boarding? Because if you change the boarding pass on the switch (which costs 40 €) it will only go until 40min before the flight. So if the “wrong” document is close to boarding, you can either leave one alone or stop?
Greetings

aso still what: on my printed board card there are no further details except name, so no ID number valid date, date of birth etc.

Can now also confirm that it was not a problem! But thank you for the answer, it flies a lot more relaxed;)

Hi, it happened to me that I entered my personal ID at Passport!
I’ve never flew with Ryanair and I’m wondering if I’m going to change this over the hotline.
Did someone have experiences with it lately?
I have a little thought that Ryanair doesn’t let us in on boarding…

Thanks for the info. I also crossed “Passport” and flew from Memmingen to Edinburgh only with the ID card. No problem. Even on the return flight no one was asked for a passport.

I just happened the same thing. How did you solve the problem? Did you get through with the Perso? Kriso
