I can't handle the cold, who else feels the same?
Hey
I think I react differently to cold than other people. I wanted to ask if anyone else feels this way.
When I wake up in the morning and the cold air touches my skin, I can't get out of bed. I can hardly bear to uncover myself. It was like this when I was a child, too. My mother would put my clothes on the radiator and put them under the covers because otherwise I wouldn't have gotten out of bed. I sleep with two blankets; if one is gone, I get extremely cold. The heating is on full blast, but the air is so cold. It's extremely difficult for me to get up.
When I cycle to work I wear three pairs of trousers (leggings, thermal leggings, trousers) and three tops (long-sleeved shirt, T-shirt, wool sweater + a big Wellensteyn jacket), three socks and one pair of gloves, but my fingers are still so cold that it hurts, my nail beds hurt, they get stiff, I can hardly move them properly, especially because the brakes are so cold and the pain goes right through the gloves. When I get to the office (which feels like the only warm place) my hands hurt even more when they warm up again. It almost feels like my fingernails are going to pop off my skin because everything is expanding again. I also move completely stiffly most of the time because of the cold.
At home, I freeze again until I get into the bathtub, which I don't want to get out of because it's so cold.
Temperatures around 40°C+, for example, don't bother me at all; that's the time when I finally don't freeze.
I hope there's someone here who understands this and perhaps has already found a solution. I'm considering emigrating, at the very latest when my parents are no longer here, because this is really bad for me. I'm already afraid of winter and the cold every September.
Sleep with sweater and long pants. Then it’s not that bad in the morning. I also put a heat radiator in my bathroom. I put it in the morning and wait until it’s really warm in the bathroom. I’m not moving around before.
Maybe instead of taking the bus? Maybe your parents would be happy to drive you over the winter. Or you’re driving yourself. I can’t read out how old you are now.
I feel the same in winter. The worst are my hands. I can do what I want as soon as it gets cold out, I’ll tear it up. I’m always running with bloody fingers. I’ve tried all existing creams, gloves don’t care how thick they are, and it hurts hell.
I don’t know if that was for you – I don’t know you – but what do you think about moving into a country where it doesn’t get very cold even in winter. Of course there will be no country in the world where there is always 40 degrees, but stop in an area where there will be only one digit at night.
There are many overseas departments in France, which are located in better climates than Central Europe, and at the same time you have the advantage of being in the EU (e.g. lower hurdles in immigrants). If you don’t have the French, how about the Canaries (Spanish) or the Azores (Portuguese).
I think it’s a lot like that.
ðŸ ̃‰ and when I radel I also have three pants and co and before I shower I also put my stuff on the heating..
but I have no problem with the cold. Because I’m exposed to cold every day. But before I chose my job, I also had problems with the cold
I think who doesn’t stay out regularly has trouble
I’m also a real frost bump.
If there’s a little cold out there, just freeze my fingers, always have to go out with gloves, then I’m so cold, there’s nothing to help.
Here!
