I bought a prepaid card from Instant Gaming and received a direct debit and a code. Is that illegal?
So, I recently bought a prepaid card from Instant Gaming, paid by direct debit, and received the code immediately. My account didn't have sufficient funds, but I didn't know that at the time. My bank then transferred the money back to Instant Gaming and debited my account €1. But I still have the money from the prepaid card. Is this a scam, so to speak? It's probably not. But it certainly wasn't extraneous.
If you bought a credit card from Instant Gaming with direct debit, you agreed that the corresponding amount will be debited from your account. However, as your account did not have enough money to cover the payment, the money was returned. But you still got the credit card code and can use it without paying for it.
This basically means that you got the credit card without paying for what is not right. Even if it was not intentional, it is important to understand that this can be considered a fraud. To avoid problems, you should inform Instant Gaming about it and repay the amount for the credit card you did not pay.
