I'm not taking any exams in the first semester. Is it still possible to study?
I'm in my first semester and have five subjects with five exams. I withdrew from four and didn't take them.
I have my business administration exam tomorrow, and I'm considering dropping out since I can't do anything. Maybe I'll study until 10 or 11 a.m. and see if I can, but if not, I'll drop out. There's no other way.
The question is whether it is even possible to complete a computer science degree if you have to catch up on so much.
Yes, it is possible. I wrote only 2 and 2 pushed in the first semester. Some people also go through all the exams in the first semester, which does not mean that their studies are invaluable. You usually have 3 attempts, then you write them again. It’s different from school and you have to get used to it first. And you don’t have to complete your studies anyway, many need longer and that’s not a leg break.
However, I wouldn’t let it become regular, because the exams are fast and sometimes you have to complete module x to semester x. You’d better take a look at your exam order to know about the rules with you and then make a plan for you that’s manageable.
Have another look at your other question and just do the modules for the 2. semesters are given (as long as they don’t build on each other) and then repeat the modules from the 1st in the next winter semester and then of course you have to do something for it. You’ve noticed your mistake far-reachingly, and you can just fix it by really trying the next time.
Yes, it is possible, but also very difficult. Obviously, you have made the decisive mistake, which is the most common cause of study breaks and is not rightly diligent at the beginning.
If you still want to do it, it means doing nothing else from 2 to 3 semesters from morning to evening than learning and not pushing any further exams in addition. All lectures, exercises and seminars must be attended. At some point, you’ll have a mountain in front of you. Studies are something completely different from school. The cheerful and free student life must not be enjoyed at the beginning, that you can only enjoy at the end of your studies, because then everything becomes much more relaxed.
In the beginning, all students who are not willing to show a corresponding commitment will be screened out.
Well, theoretically it goes, only means more stress in future semesters, or more likely that your studies will last longer.
I just wonder if it will be better in the future if you already push everything in the first semester. In the next semesters it probably won’t be easier.
Of course, that’s all moving backwards.
The bigger problem is that you make the same mistake next semester. Instead of picking up the exams, you’ll be accumulating more and more exams, which you’ll be hard to do in the end.
You then have a lot to catch up and the next claws will be added to you if you really want to do it.
