Hz doesn't go up on monitor?

I bought a monitor that supports 144 Hz. I plugged it in and was able to set it to 144 Hz. When I then connected a second monitor, I could only set it to 60 Hz. I unplugged the second monitor to see if that was the problem, and I still couldn't get it to work, regardless of the resolution, and no matter how many times I plugged the monitor in and out and restarted the PC. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

If you have connected the second monitor via HDMI, it can be that it only creates 60 Hz due to the HDMI limitation. Unless it’s HDMI 2.0+

Where are you going? You set the Hz on Windows and not on the monitor. When set under Windows 60Hz, it runs at 60Hz. System>Imaging> Advanced display, set Hz to 144.

You can change the hz of Monitor eig on display settings.
