Hooves warm after a ride?

Hello..

I just went out riding, and afterward, while picking out my horse's hooves, I noticed that all four hooves were warm. I also cleaned all four hooves before the ride, and they were still cold. What does that mean?

Hey!

This can have the simple reason that the hoove is better bleeding through the movement/exercise, since the blood pressure generally increases.

As long as all four are equally warm, everything is fine. Two hooves at once for control. Don’t you feel any difference? Then there is no need to worry. Your feet are warm after sport!

Huhu,

that they were just bleeding well. Just after a standing time (box, small paddock) the circulation is stimulated by movement. Warm hooves after the movement are quite normal.

if all four hooves were warm, that means they were well bleeding. And that’s good. It wouldn’t be good if only one hoof was warm and the others were cool.
