Well, I kept it secret until my mom got me (I had wool gloves with fur trim from her). She just asked me if I was cold tonight. I was red and asked why? “Because you have gloves.” I don’t know, I said and I’m in my room. 🙏🙈
It also depends on the age and the intension behind it.
If my 6-year-old son wishes a pet and tries to compensate for this, I would have a clearing conversation (explaining why no pet is possible / ask why he hasn’t said anything yet / possibly bring a pet).
If it were my 16-year-old son who sat down on my jacket, I would ask him to let him be and look for something that is equally attractive for him, but then just SEINS.
When my 10-year-old son got the jacket because I always come home very late and he wants to have me missing and my smell around, I would give him something else that smells like me, but not as sensitive as real fur.
