How warm does all-round fabric keep you?

I'm planning to go to Dokomi for the first time in June, and I really wanted to dress up for it. I planned to sew my costume myself. The problem? I've never sewn before, so I don't know much about it. So I searched online for a cheap fabric that would match the color scheme and found a so-called all-purpose fabric. It seems a bit heavy, though, and I'm a little worried I'd get too warm in it. Hence the question, haha.

Thank you in advance for any answers. XD

Polyester doesn’t heat.

In a warm environment you can actually sweat in it.

In a cold environment, you will freeze in it.

In June, you will sweat in a fabric of 100% polyester and start to stink quickly.
