How to store your MacBook safely?

I bought a MacBook Air M2 for 1435€ for my studies.

But now I'm afraid that the thing might somehow get damaged while being transported in my backpack.

I'm also a little scared that it will get stolen.

Do you have any ideas how I can safely store it in my backpack?

I usually pack my MacBooks in a leather case and then place it in a padded notebook bag. A leather case would certainly suffice in a backpack, but I prefer something more secure to prevent damage. The choice of backpack also plays a role in how well it can be stored.

There are backpacks that have specially padded and separate laptop compartments, so nothing should happen there. And of course, you shouldn't use the backpack as a soccer ball!

You have to be careful about theft yourself. There are no safeguards. Unfortunately, MacBooks don't have a Kensington security lock.

Laptop bag/laptop compartment, done.

MacBooks are actually comparatively robust; Many other laptops have flimsy plastic cases.
