How to repair this RC car?

The black plastic part where the cable goes can't be opened. There's a metal part inside, probably what holds the cable in place.

You could disconnect both and extend them with a shrink connection and then plug them into the connector or a new one.

The cable looks broken. I'd solder it if I were you, then it should work again.
