How to measure a 3-pin Volex cable?
Good evening,
I want to find out if a cable is defective. I have a multimeter, but I don't know how to connect it to the cable. By 3-pin Volex, I mean a cable like this:
Can someone help me? Where do I plug in the plus and minus wires?
In order to discover cable faults, you use your multimeter through-check (diode symbol) and gradually go through every contact.
In the case of a fault-free cable, each contact on one side should be electrically conductively connected to exactly one contact on the other side.
So, almost at one end plus, at the other end, hold down minus, right?
Yeah. If beeps, there's a connection.
Thank you
