How to handle CDI with pinion?

Hello,

My Derbi Senda 50 SM currently goes up to 55 km/h. However, I have a 13-tooth pinion lying around, and the problem is that my CDI is set to 55 km/h. After that, it throttles down. As I understand it, the CDI throttles down with the engine speed. Is it the case that the engine speed is lower at higher speeds when changing the pinion?

thanks for your answers!

Usually not. The CDI’s driving speed. The speed comes from the motor, so to speak.

It can be that it does something at the end speed. But there we talk about a maximum of 5kmh
