How to decode/convert Opus files?

Hello, I've been sent several audio files. The files don't have a file extension, but I know they're Opus. I'd like to convert them to MP3 or WAV. However, no conventional audio converter seems to be working. After much Googling and browsing, I found this page ( Save Toniefigur as MP3 – Create Backup – PC-Erfahrung.de ) that provides instructions for decoding. Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me at all. I manage to open the file with opusdec.exe, but it only plays and doesn't save as a WAV file. Can someone help me with this and create better instructions? When I enter the text listed on the page with my file names and directories in Powershell, I always get error messages. I have to admit, though, that I'm completely unfamiliar with this. I hope someone can help me. Regards

With ffmpeg it should be easily possible:

ffmpeg -i deinekomichedateiohneendung bla.wav

If that doesn’t help you explore the file more closely with mediainfo.

For your instructions: It’s kind of about dismantling and manipulating any loudspeaker with sensors (I just read across it). This doesn’t really help you because you don’t want to rebuild speakers, but you want to reconvert an audio file.

Opus is a general audio format that does not belong to a specific product.

It’s much better than MP3. You should only convert it to MP3 if you are compatible with a portable MP3 player, old car radio, Apple product or the like, which does not have an opus decoder.
