I play piano myself and I would say that especially as a beginner it is important to teach. I go once a week for an hour and that helps a lot, as it goes pretty fast without feedback to acquire wrong things like the stance of the fingers. And you should practice the day at least one hour (45 minutes).
How much you can learn I can’t tell you, but with me it’s what I’m learning about songs as well as sound conductors and, therefore probably, also making slow progress in playing pieces, but also working on my technique by the way. With me I have a book and in it it is also explained piece by piece how to get into play with two hands first. I was still c. 1 month (4 lessons) only alternated with both hands (very) to play simple children’s songs.
