How much discount at the car dealer?

Hello, I'm interested in a Suzuki Swift 1.4 140 hp. It's two years old, has 30,000 km on it, and has been used twice for daily use. No defects. Suzuki dealer

It costs 16,000 euros.

I would like to buy it for cash and take a quick test drive and then buy it.

How much discount can you get out of it?

My tactic would be to give you 14k euros and then take it with me.

How would you go about this and can I reduce the price this way?

Even 14000 Euros would be too expensive for a newly relatively cheap and usually with high discounts or as a day-to-day vehicle of the small car class, which is also two years old with not even low running performance. With 140 hp, this is a common price according to the stock exchanges, but a swift is a no-name and with 16000 euros would be too much money for a used person with two previous owners (1 hand plus day registration). So you would be third-party owners – this also lowers the value and later the resale value.

A discount … probably also as a cash payer (usually being transferred anyway; with cash in the amount, the fewest traders still make around today) is not sooo high, that also depends in the end on the payment and on the negotiation skill. Often there is agreement in the area of additional winter tires, new TÜV, a free inspection at the next due date or similar, which is also very fair and is worth more than a few saved Euros if the next service takes up the advantage and the new tires are due anyway.

The price is really salty for a dealer. Only for comparison: A local trader advertises for the Suzuki Swift with a little less than 14000 euros for a daily admission, although it "only" is the 1.2-liter engine with relatively economical equipment (white and manual air conditioning).

Discount you will probably be able to forget at the moment, the market does not give a lot to her, because young used ones are very popular…u don't you buy him the next

6.37 liters/100km on average of the 71 Swift 1.4 140ps driver.

https://www.spritmonitor.de/de/uebersicht/48-Suzuki/430-Swift.html?power_s=139&power_e=141&powerunit=2

It needs > 7 liters:

I find that much too much for a “modern” small car with something above a ton of weight.

My 330i sedan needs less than 6.9 liters/100km and weighs 50% more and has almost twice as much power.

guess what it's worth 100,000km. Fuel price in section 2.25€ At 6.5 liters = about 15 thousand euros over time.

There is no car with 2-time registration. For used cars, you can't start with discounts like new cars. I don't know. We don't know his purchase price. He only knows him. If he paid 15 for it, he won't sell it to you for 14. Whether cash or credit doesn't matter.

There I wouldn't pay more than 12k for, with fresh MOT and two complete wheelsets

Okay, sometimes read volatile. It's only two years old.

The price is okay. If you get the one with new TÜV and 8 compartments, be happy.

depending on the equipment, but not over €13,000 for such a low tech car.
