How many grams of wet food for BKH kittens?

Hi,

How many grams of wet food should a 5-month-old BKH kitten eat per day (split into several meals, of course)? How do I know this, and what can I always use as a guide?

And dry food is supposedly not good for you. Should you avoid it completely or can you hide a little bit on the puzzle board or in the apartment in the evening so that your dog can let off steam?

Thank you very much in advance 😊

Hello,

there are recommendations that you say kittens from the 5th. Month 300 to a maximum of 350 grams per day.

There are calculation bases:

A kitten needs 80kcal per kilo KM/day. A kitten at this age weighs about 3 kilos.

80kcal x 3Kilo KM = 240kcal

Most high-quality wet foods are 95kcal/100 grams.

You can feed between 250 grams to 350 grams of only wet food per day.

If dry food is added to bumble and chase, then you have to weigh it, calculate the kcal and thus feed this amount less on wet food.

Your kitten good appetite.

PS: Kittens should never be kept alone, but always with a fellow at the same age. In addition, your kitten is ready to be cast.

Best regards 🙋 ♀️ +😺 +😺

Okay, in cats, I’m not on the subject.

My recommendation

  • Read the package – which gives the first indication
  • Check the weight once a week (takes to = less; decreases => more)
  • if you give something else to dry food: is more difficult but not impossible: determine nutritional values from the ingredients and continue as before.
