In the case of departure from the EU, the total amount of cash carried must be EUR 10,000 or more registered with the competent customs office.

It is so that EUR 9,999,99 per person may be taken without registration. Only then every person has to carry the money on the body (if Papa has 50,000 for the whole family, he goes against the rule and pays a fat fine).

From 10,000€ it will be tight – that is the may. Amount of money that you may execute or introduce (money laundering law)

I don’t know what you’re doing on holiday, but so expensive can hardly be a holiday;-)

But I am overwhelmed by the fact that there are problems, many questions and questionnaires at every cent.

In addition, it would be more than unreasonable to carry such large sums of money through the area – call on the airline how much money you can take with you in Turkey, who know that much more precisely 🙂

Turkey is not part of the EU. This is true only for the Europeans as I have read the foreign currency is unlimited in Turkey but the customs can still check.

In Germany, there is only a registration obligation if cash is carried over EUR 10000.

When entering Turkey, there is no limit on the import of foreign currency. On export it is somewhat different;-) See comment.
