I have reading glasses with a relatively light prescription: +0.75 on the left and right, and a cylinder of -0.25, which is very minimal.
Now, you might think that with such "strength," one should still be able to get by without glasses. I can actually decipher most things without glasses, but the writing is extremely blurry, which makes reading without them very difficult. I can only read small print on packaging or on my phone screen with great effort, or sometimes not at all. It also depends a lot on the time of day and how I feel that day.
I wouldn't want to be without my glasses anymore. In fact, I really enjoy wearing them because 1) they allow me to see everything super clearly, making my life much easier ;-), and 2) I really like the model. 🙂
My glasses were just 8 months old, and I needed stronger lenses again. The new lenses are -13.75 – 2.5 and -14.25 – 2.75. I can't see anything very far away. I can see things in our house, but everything is blurry. I can read from very close up if the print is larger and it's bright enough. They say it has something to do with heredity, but not for me.
I have -7 diopters. Without glasses or contact lenses, I can't see much and everything is blurry. Reading at a normal distance is impossible. I have to carefully feel for my glasses.

But to expand your general knowledge😊 I have dug out my last eyeglass vision test from 07/2024 for you:
R Sph -1.5 / Cyl. -0.75 / A 120 Add. 2.5
L Sph -2.0 / Cyl. -1.0 / A 25 Add. 2.5
Without glasses, I can read up close and see well, but distance vision becomes blurry. Nevertheless, I can still find my way around very well without glasses.
So on both sides about 25 diopters, without glasses: Color spots are actually only basic colors/black/white and very very striking colors, such as neon green, but then only directly in front of the eye
Now it's -7.25 diopters, after being fairly stable for a few years. What I see without glasses: Distance objects are naturally very blurry, but up close everything's fine.
I'm at about -6 diopters and can see clearly up to about 20cm without prescription. Everything else is blurry.
My brother has -18 diopters. He seems to only see "color blobs." Even with perfectly fitted contact lenses, his vision isn't completely clear. For example, he's never seen a starry sky because he's fundamentally unable to see stars.

I have more than -3 diopters and feel very insecure without glasses because I can only see almost everything in a vague way.
Do you have severe astigmatism? I have about +4, something (not exactly up-to-date either) and I can see well without glasses, but I can't read.

Sph. -12.00 plus small cylinder.
Perfect if it's no more than 8 or 9 cm away.

I have -5 diopters and can't see much in the distance without glasses.
Alhamdulillah, I look very good without glasses
don't need glasses, neither far nor near
At the last check by the company doctor, 120% was recorded
Perfect, I would like that too.
How do you do that 🥲?
Is it possible that you don't look at your phone much?
