How long should I wait before taking paracetamol and antidepressants?

Hey, I know none of you are doctors, but it's Sunday and I can't ask a doctor, so I'm hoping someone here has some experience. I'm currently taking Venlafaxine 150 mg. I woke up this morning with extreme shoulder and arm pain. I took the antibiotics about an hour ago. How long do I have to wait until I can take a paracetamol without getting any gastrointestinal bleeding? Cheers, and thanks in advance for your answers 🙂

Paracetamol and Venlafaxin can normally be taken together without problems.

The danger of bleeding is “only” in ibuprofen, acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin), naproxen, flurbiprofen and diclofenac, i.e. in the NSAR. In the case of paracetamol, however, the danger of bleeding is not increased; neither in the case of the use of paracetamol alone nor in the case of the combination of paracetamol with venlafaxine.

venlafaxin strengthens the inhibition of coagulation of aspirin and are potentially fatal I would therefore advise to consume both.

You should also be careful with IBU – there is a risk of stomach bleeding.

So if it can be avoided until you can ask your family doctor the fingers of painkillers.

What did the doctor tell you who prescribed the antidepressants? What do you want to pay attention to?

In the event of a doubt, the painkillers are better off, and it will be two days without.

Can take both drugs (also together).
