How long does the best iPhone last?
My old cell phone broke, and now I need a new one. But I know very little about cell phones.
I've always had cheap devices before, but this time I want something more expensive.
I always had problems with my old phones because I travel a lot and use intensive apps.
There were problems with the screen freezing when using multiple apps that require power. During long video recordings the device would shut down due to heat. Large apps would always freeze and new games would be at 20 fps. If I opened more than 3 apps and wanted to go back to another app, everything would disappear and I had to reload.
If I buy the best iPhone available now, and the price doesn't matter (15 Pro Max), how long will the iPhone last without me having problems, without the device deteriorating, or without the problems I described?
I heard that the new iPhones are coming soon but I need a new device now because the vacation is starting soon

My iPhone 7 Plus (Top Model of 2016, 8 years ago) is still running today and has been actively used by my mother until 2 weeks ago. No battery. But the first apps are slowly getting off because there were “only” major updates to iOS 15.
Apple gives approx. Major updates for 6 years, after which you can still use the device.
You can probably use it for the 10 years before it can no longer be used, but it is not sensible.
But if you only play games and need a good runtime, it also does a 200-300€ device of e.g. Xiaomi.
At some point, there are no updates for the operating system, and then you get problems. As long as the device is supported with updates and bug fixes, everything is fine. I once had an Android device that I could use for 5 years. If there’s no support from Apple any more, because the device is “old” you need a new one. Then it doesn’t matter if the battery still holds.

The battery lasts after 3-4 years. If it is only for shocking, then for example a Poco x6 per is completely sufficient.
Depending on how you handle the device, it will run in 10 years if you handle it well
Consider that the battery has to be new after two years at the latest
