How long can back pain last?

Hello,

Since Thursday evening, I've had severe lower back pain. I was riding my bike when I suddenly felt the pain. I could barely stand upright or walk.

At the orthopedist's the next morning – according to the X-ray, there was no herniated disc. I got an injection and some tape. Unfortunately, everything still hurts. Apparently, it's muscle tension. I can walk better now.

I'm worried it might be a herniated disc. But I don't have any tingling in my arms or legs. Can muscle tension last this long?

I have pain when I sit and especially when I stand up—I can barely bend forward. It also hurts when I lift my legs while sitting.

Should I go to the hospital to get it checked out again? MRI?

No paralysis, no loss of function, no misemption = no emergency. Even if it were a BSV – which is more normal part of human existence, than generally aware.

To help you vll: Where exactly are your pain in the lower back? Are they pointing, referring to an area, are they changing, are they posing?

What side effects are you afraid of? Have you tried with Ibuprofen or Voltaren?

Okay, that means it’s gonna be better. It’s slow, but it’s good. So paradoxically it sounds: try to make very minimal the movements that hurt. To bsp in sitting slightly forward bucks and straight again, made of an elevated seat, as sitting on the table slightly stretched, standing up etc.

You can experience various degenerative processes that trigger your pain, but do not have a bad cause. It is important that there is no functional impairment, no tingling of the thigh side, no unwanted urinary loss/stuhl loss. But of course – if you have too much concern, or even more symptoms come/it gets worse, you should be re-examined.

I’m not a doctor, but I’d say it’s probably just a muscle tension, especially if there’s no tingling in the arms and legs.

It sounds like it’s getting better. An MRI makes no sense when it is a muscle tension. But if it gets worse or the pain stops longer, you should consult a doctor.

Maybe just take an ibuprofen against the pain. This often helps with muscle tension.

If you’re not sure about the side effects, you can just ask in the pharmacy. But if your doctor prescribed it, it should be okay. Unless you take other medicines that are not well combinable with it.

Crawling actually means that what is not optimally supplied is possibly clamped.

You can find lots of back exercises on Youtube. See if what’s in it is what makes your pain noticeable.

Muscle tensioning can make problems forever if you don’t get them away. It works with sports or massages. Some also swear to those massage pistols. Even if they only relieve, that’s something.

There's an explanation. A wrong move and you're finished.

Suddenly? Could also be a witch’s shot.
