How long?
I just accidentally bought two chocolate cookies that were four months out of date. Is that bad and how long can you eat cookies after the expiration date?

I actually bought one of these as a gift, but didn't give it away after all, and I'm wondering if you can do other things with it besides frothing milk (and does it work with plant-based milk, too?), otherwise I'd return it, which is why I don't want to try it out now😅 Can you…
I mean there is nothing in it, no sugar, fat etc. how does it work?
I recently bought some chili oil and wanted to ask how you use it. For example, I sprinkled it on a piece of toast and then toasted it.
Well, I'm not a fan of apple juice but I love orange juice👍🏻 After a while, I've started to crave apple spritzer every now and then and enjoy drinking it. How about you?
You could have eaten them even a year later. As long as they still look and smell normal, and don't fail the taste test, you can still eat them well past their best-before date.
The best before date only indicates the date up to which the manufacturer guarantees that the product is fine, but from this point onwards the products are definitely not certain to be fatal. There used to be no best before date at all; it was only introduced a few decades ago. My parents, even at 60 and 65, still don't have the best before date because it was only introduced afterwards (to be precise, it has only been compulsory since 1981). Back then, people relied on sight, smell and taste and didn't die from eating biscuits that had been lying around for a year and were most likely only good for a few weeks according to today's best before date standards.
By the way, I'm not at all concerned with the best-before date. I rely on sight, smell, and taste, and as long as things don't fail those criteria, I'll still use things long after their best-before date, even several years after their best-before date. And without any health problems when consumed.
You can eat them without hesitation even months after the expiration date 🙂
If you want to be absolutely sure, take a small bite and taste it. Even if it's not good enough, it's okay. Nothing will happen as long as you don't eat large amounts. If it tastes the same as always and you don't notice any difference, you can continue eating without worrying. I speak from personal experience 🙂
LG
