How is a DDR dynamo wired from a Mifa folding bike or similar bikes?

Hello everyone,

I'm in the process of rebuilding both of my folding bikes, but I have no idea how the cables are connected to the dynamo. It's logical how the cables go from the dynamo to the lights (into the bulb socket), but I'm not sure where the cables go or how to mount them. I'd appreciate it if an expert could enlighten me or share their ideas with me.

There's a wire to every lamp. The mass is on the frame.

Perfectly right. Something more detailed, therefore, in your answer:

A circuit must always be closed. The dynamo generates alternating current. One pole is called Plus, the other pole (on the bike). Mass is the outer shell of the dynamo and everything that comes into contact with it. Be careful! The current does not pass through the paint on the frame. The lamps usually have two connections, i.e. one more extra for the mass. You don't need it. The lamp is also connected to the frame as a ground line.

Modern lighting systems are double wired today, because for example spring forks or plastic parts do not conduct the current. Some lights are set on it and no longer have a conductive connection to the frame. Then you have to make them with a piece of wire.

Modern side runner dynamos have four connections for cables, twice plus and twice mass plus the mass over the housing.
