How exactly does the Bahn Card work?
Hi folks ,
i have a question about the Deutsche Bahn Rail Card. As I’ve always traveled by bus, I don’t know my way around at all!
Now that I have to take the train for my apprenticeship!
Can someone please explain to me how the BahnCard works, for example at the ticket machine, which one would be better: 25, 50…
I have already looked on the Bahn homepage. Unfortunately, I didn’t really understand how the BahnCard works.
Thank you very much
who you get the bahncard 25 you get 25% discount on each ticket. at the bahncard 50, you can logically get 50% discount on each ticket. on the machine you will be asked if you have one of the two. if so, it will be noted on the ticket and during the card control you will be asked for your bahncard and usually also for the peronal card.
does that answer your question?
Ah ok :D, I just have to get the bahncard out when card control is, so on the automat I just have to specify which I have?^^
Exactly.^
No, you just have to, if you want to collect bahn.bonus points. For the pure discount, the information you have is sufficient.
no that has to be put into the sclitz
BahnCard 50, 50% to the normal price. BahnCard 25, 25% on the normal price and the savings price. When buying a ticket, you will enter your train card and get a correspondingly reduced ticket. Ticket and the BahnCard will be shown when you check the train and your ID card. However, if you always drive the same route every day, a weekly card or monthly card would be cheaper, but unfortunately there is no BahnCard discount.
almost all tickets are 25% cheaper be1 the BC 25 and 50% at the BC 50, for this you pay a one-off price per year. This usually gets quite fast. It only does not apply to some less super-saving tickets etc.
it depends on your age on it, but as an azuub, the Bahncard 25 is best and you must enter the häkschen bei bahncard at the automat. I hope I could help you.
Very simple: Buy traincard, buy discounted ticket, show them both together on the train during ticket control.
Unfortunately, I don’t know the machine.
I book all my tickets online, because it works very easily. You only need to buy the BahnCard (I think you have to pay monthly numbers, I only have to pay once through an action).
When you book, you specify which railway card you own and will automatically be deducted 25 or 50% of the price. On the train, you have to show the card to the Schaffner. You can only book and drive with your own BahnCard, or no one else with yours. And you must always have them with you on the train. At least I experienced it with the BahnCard 25. Hope I could help you halfway 🙂
