How does water combine with glycogen?

Hello

So the real question is:

When I drink a glass of water or a liter of water, why don't these water molecules combine with the glycogen, but why does this only happen with carbohydrates?

Water and glycogen can interact with one another via hydrogen bridge bonds, since glycogen has many OH groups. If less glycogen is present, less water (HOH) can also be bound.
